Job Description

ProCLAD is seeking a highly-driven Director of Construction to develop relationships and drive strategic operations of the company’s field services across the United States, which include:

•         Composite Metal

•         Phenolic

•         Stone/Cementitious

•         Rainscreen Facades

•         Insulated Metal Panels

•         Suspended Wall Mesh

•         Curtain Wall & Store Fronts

•         Sunscreens

•         Louvers

•         Glass & Glazing

•         Roofing

•         Plate and Profile Metal

•         Terracotta

 

The Director of Construction will be primarily responsible for:

•         Building a culture of a high performing field operations team

•         Provide a written field labor and equipment plan for each project

•         Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors

•         Employee performance, recruitment, and hiring needs for field operations

•         Develop field quality training

•         Labor source planning

•         Manage and lead Field Operations Manager and Installation Manager(s)

•         Project design review – work’s with ProCLAD’s Installation & Design Manager(s)

•         Jobsite safety and installation training – develop job-specific safety plans

•         Hold frequent project meetings – present/review monthly ETC Report(s)

•         Shop drawing peer reviews

•         Customer/Community relations – includes General/Specialty Contractors meeting(s)

•         Onboarding, and training/development for new employees

•         Job file turnover – includes “hand off meeting(s)”

•         Tracking productivity for self-performing activities

•         Promote Safety Program as company safety officer

•         Support and assist in establishing policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the use of best practices in the construction operations of the business.

Other Key Process Activities:

•         Acquire project materials and develop project materials lists

•         Business meetings and overall business plans

•         Contracts with General/Specialty Contractors

•         Finalizing jobs in various markets

•         Initial project engineering reviews and mockups

•         Installation monitoring

•         OSHA

•         Product evaluation

•         Project design plan

•         Quality assurance plan

•         Testing

•         Vendor relationships

This position can be located in our Indiana office or our Texas office.

Requirements

•         Bachelor's degree in Business or Construction Management, related field or equivalent experience (preferred) 

•         At least 10 years’ experience in construction management, project management or closely related field.

•         Strong knowledge of day-to-day Construction Operations

•         Proficient in project management technology, MS Office Suite, and understanding of modern construction industry systems.

•         Superior communication, organizational and time management skills

•         A mindset for solutions selling, self-motivation and ability to work in a team environment 

•         Ability to effectively communicate and work remotely

•         Ability to travel to oversee construction projects
